John Dallwitz is an artist and historian whose interest in the Nullarbor Nymph Hoax as an interesting area of historical investigation started in the early 1990s. John and wife Dora spent many evenings with artist Antony Hamilton discussing the possibilities of this narrative as a valid source of making art works. As historian John also became very interested in the possibility of interviewing all the original hoaxers and having the site where the hoax was perpetrated included on the National Heritage register.
