DEBORAH LESER

Deborah Leser has had a multifaceted international career as a Fabric Artist, Textile Designer and Printmaker, establishing and joining studios in London, New York, Kyoto and Sydney. Deborah has worked extensively in the worlds of Fashion, Interiors, Craft and Design, diversifying from hand-painting Kimonos in Kyoto, to her Scarf and Wrap collections sold in leading stores in the US, including New York, amongst them Barney’s, Saks Fifth Ave & the American Craft Museum. 

Deborah has exhibited widely, some highlights being the Australian National Gallery, Canberra; the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; the Edinburgh Arts Centre, Scotland; Japan Expo Tskuba; Australian Consulates in Thailand, Laos, New York and London; the American Craft Museum and Asia Society, New York.

Deborah is a member of Warringah Printmakers, the Print Council of Australia, Primrose Paper Arts and the International Surface Design Association and is a qualified Transpersonal Art Therapist and Nutritionist. Her work is in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, the Powerhouse Museum, the National Galleryof Victoria and the Art Gallery of South Australia and private collections.

Deborah has developed and teaches workshops combining her many skills and is currently a Visiting Artist at the Australian Museum in the Mineralogy Department.
